The Roadmap of Microsoft From March 26 to March 30, 2007 Microsoft organized a Roadmap conference in Rome, Italy. Mr. Plamen Mateev, director, CAD R&D Progress and Mrs. Mariana Koleva, head of Progress PR department, were among the 101 invited Microsoft partners.
The aim of this seminar was to summarize current and planned versions of Microsoft’s most important enterprise products. The roadmap provided a singled reference for Microsoft customers and partners who need to answer basic planning questions, such as:
The conference was opened with a short review of Microsoft history, culture and organizational policy. Questions about the mission of Microsoft as an organization, the role of its subsidiaries and their responsibilities were carefully examined. Issues about the market segmentation, the new Microsoft business strategies and some license programs were also introduced at the meeting.
New Association of Microsoft Certified Partners Conference in Paris
In March 29, 2007 the Association of Microsoft Certified Partners held a conference in Paris, France in which took part Microsoft partners from Europe, The Middle East and Africa.
At the meeting were discussed both the achievements for the last tree months and the preparation for the forthcoming Microsoft world conference in July, 2007. The opportunities for improving the partnership and the benefits which international partnership brings, were also included and debated in the conference workshop. The Microsoft Association conference preceded the opening of the new branch of the Association in Paris, which was opened in March 30, 2007. The Microsoft Association Partners in Bulgaria were represented by Peter Georgiev, CAD R&D Progress.
Progress Ltd Celebrated Its 25th Anniversary On March 17, 2007 CAD R&D Progress celebrated its 25 th birthday at the Military Club, Sofia. The organization invited more than three hundred friends. The guests were either famous managers of IT firms and politicians or partners and Progress’ friends.
The celebration was opened by the CEO of CAD R&D Progress- Mr. Plamen Mateev, who officially thanked all his employees for their loyalty and for their efforts through the years. He also appreciated his partners and friends for their cooperation.
After Mr. Mateev’s speech were read some congratulatory letters from Bulgaria Prime minister Sergej Stanishev and from the Minister of the Labor and Social Politics-Emilia Maslarova. At the end everybody received anniversary presents form Progress Ltd and left the Military Club with a smile.
In 2002 at a press conference at Sofia Press Building, the director of CAD R&D Progress Ltd.-Mr.Mateev promised all the Medias that they are going to meet again after 5 years at the same place. It really happened but the difference was that this time “Progress” has grown twice.
CAD R&D Progress has delivered Dell technologies and Microsoft software solutions for 25 years now. The organization is not only a Dell certified distributor but is also certified service provider for technical support of Dell technologies and Microsoft software. In 2004 Progress Ltd gave birth to a subsidiary with headquarters in Durankulak, Shabla. In the same year was built the Educational and Rehabilitation Center which is licensed according to the Bulgarian law for Education and Tuition. The education there is carried out exclusively on Dell computers and Microsoft software. At the press conference also participated some of Progress Ltd partners-Mr. Teodor Milev-CEO, Microsoft, Bulgaria and Dragosh Mateescu, Serban Zirnovan, Dell, East Europe.
DELL™ Specialists Serban Zirnovan (Enterprise Business Manager for Bulgaria and Romania) and Aleksander Aleksandrov (Corporate & SMB Business Manager) conducted monitoring over the employees of CAD R&D Center Progress for the EPA (Enterprise Partner Accreditation) on 15 February 2007.
In February 12, 2007 was the official opening of “Innovation Days”, which was held for the first time in Sofia, Bulgaria. Sponsors of the meeting were Microsoft Bulgaria and the National Agency for Information and Communication Technology.
The meeting was held on February 12-13 at Radisson Hotel. The conference was opened by the special guest of the event- Mr. Yan Mulfight, vise president of Microsoft government and organizational strategies for Europe, the Near East and Africa. “Innovation days” started up with a discussion on the following topic: “Innovation and information technologies- policies and practices”.
The director of CAD Progress - Mr. Plamen Mateev, the manager of the PR department - Mrs. Mariana Koleva and the head of the IT department - Mr. Petyr Georgiev also participated in the conference. They introduced to the other participants the new Microsoft program CRM 3.0 which is already being used at CAD Progress.

In January 29, 2007 at Edinburgh, Scotland was officially opened The Government Leaders Forum-Europe, which was sponsored by Microsoft Corporation. That was an exceptional opportunity to bring together leaders to exchange experiences and discuss issues related to the future of Europe, as well as to examine the role that information and communication technology (ICT) plays in achieving success in this area.
